Ingredients: 2 lbs New York Strip Steaks, half tablespoon of vegetable oil, 1 and a half teaspoons sea salt, 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, 2 cloves garlic, 1 sprig fresh rosemary. Instructions: Pat the steaks and season with salt and pepper just before cooking. Heat a cast iron pan over medium-high heat, add oil, and swirl to coat. Once the oil is hot, place the steaks in the skillet and sear for 4 minutes on the first side until a crust forms. Flip the steaks and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Use tongs to sear the edges for about 1 minute per side. Reduce heat to medium and add butter, garlic, and rosemary to the pan. Spoon the butter sauce over the steak for about a minute, ensuring the meat is 5-10 degrees shy of your desired doneness, as it will continue to cook while resting. Transfer the steak to a cutting board, loosely cover, and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice into half inch strips, spoon extra butter sauce over the steak, and serve. Enjoy!
